one very important thing you should know about me is that i survived a miracle.  my husband and our girls were in a near-fatal rollover auto accident on november 21, 2008.  while my husband and girls were ok, i had broken my back.  after 2 long weeks in the hospital, 2 dangerous surgeries, i was able to literally WALK AWAY from it all.  my back is fused with 12 titanium screws and 2 16" titanium rods (thoracic spine - middle of my back).  i suffered a burst fracture to one of my vertebrae, meaning that it basically exploded and left only a fraction of it left.  in addition to the hardware, i also needed a bone graft to rebuild the vertebrae.  oh yeah...and i also broke my shoulder and several ribs.

the accident was 9 months ago and i still can't believe what we have been through.  scrapping really has been my saving grace.  i work on my laptop and sit on the couch in a recliner, since i can't sit at my desk for very long.  it really helps keep my mind off of "things".
