If the site was advertising Designers or Designer's stores, it would be different but I am not interested in advertising Freebies. You site seems to be a one-stop place to get all the latest freebies; something to make it easier for those that do nothing but go around and pick up freebies.
I'm interested in promoting sales and giving freebies to customers.

A Question

Hi, Im not sure if im in the right place to ask this. I love digital scrapbooking i make a calendar every year for my family with all the cool freebies and stuff i purchase from various websites. I was wondering about terms of use. I made an invite for my daughter recently and used some of my stuff i had to make it, It came out very nice. I am a graphic designer by day and wanted to expand a little on the side with all the compliments i got from the invite i made a couple people asked me to make them one but i know terms of us says u can't use it for commerical use. So my question is how do i go about being able to use stuff if i wanted to start something on the side with digital scrapbook stuff. I will NEVER use something im not suppose to as i don't want anyone to get upset. But i would like to find out how i can use stuff. Do i have to buy them? or commision a designer on my own?

I hope this isn't a confusing question and believe me i would never use all the stuff i already have without permission im not that type of person. I would love to give someone money or understand the rights of use

Hi, I was going through my list of favorite designers and found a beautiful breast cancer kit. It was full of vibrant pinks, flowers, ribbons, and papers. At the time, I wasn't where I could download the kit. The purchase price was around $3 or $4. I thought that I had saved the place, but alas I must not have because I can't find it today. I thought that I was on Raspberry Road's site but I couldn't find it there unless I just missed it! Would any of you happen to know where I might find this kit? or other Breast Cancer scrapbooking kits or elements? Thanks for any help! Diane

Ask yourself this question. As I am really thinking about this subject today. When it was brought to my attention, that on another Freebie site some "wordart" that a person could deem as offensive was posted there and left up for all visitors of all ages who visit the site to see for the whole day.

Hmmmmmmmmmm As i think inwardly about this. I on one hand do appreciate Freedom of Speech I just love wordart and journaling and everything about scrapbooking that has to do with writing.

But if you are a regular visitor to this site I do have scruples and will not put up with profanity, disney characters, 4shared links, what i think is trashy artwork or any other subject i think takes away from the integrity of this website that I have spent all of my free time caring for. I mean, in my opinion I do not feel you can be a hard worker on a project if your heart is not into it.

Thats just where I'm at people.

Well after a bit of a hiatus ... I am back ...

I was selling in two stores, and just honestly found it too hard to stay active on this site, but for many reasons, most of them related to needing to spend more time on my kids, more time on study, and just wanting to enjoy designing and scrapping again I have resigned from my stores :)

So I am now back into the freebie world, and creating for the love of it! and I am loving it :):)

I have a few blog projects going, a Kids Stuff Blog for activities for Kids, and one about our recent move to Canberra!

So I hope that I can be around a bit more than I have the last few months :)

I had a terrific idea for our street. Well we have alot of families with children and they are hard for me to keep track of. Also, i was thinking what a great way to get to know your neighbor.

Make some fliers about 7 with all your neighbors around you who you think would join or appreciate a book for themselves.

Have them pay for the cost of 1 book (for themselves)
Have each household create a page from the books representing themselves. collect the books and wrap them. Then give one to each household. What a great christmas gift.

How do I load my digital papers, embelishments, templates into Photoshop elements

I have found some great advice in the tutorial section of the forum but I cant find anything on how to load all my digital papers, templates, brads, ribbons etc into Photoshop elements. I have version 5.0.

Do I have to load them into the photos area? with the organizer? I put a few papers in there but then I cant seem to use them.

I would really appreciate help I have searched all avo on the web for how to's on this topic but can't find anything. The help in Photoshop hasnt helped either!

How can I find these?

How I made my Advent wreath.

Here I used some cheap 1 dollar ornaments i found at the supermarket

Here are some inexpensive candles. I bought the set for around 3 dollars I think.

This is really cheap-o ribbon.

I knew i needed sticks. Shishkabobs did the trick. They were collected dust in the drawer
anyways. I broke them in thirds. Then I used some paint i had lying around to paint them.

Use the glue-gun God gave you. If you dont have one, wish for one for xmas. This is a little tiny one but it is a workhorse. Cost me around 2 dollars a couple years ago i think.

Here i used the gluegun to glue the ornaments to the stick. Get the kids involved here. Oskar he is two years picked out the ornaments he wanted on each stick.
This is great to keep the kids busy with. You can put as many sticks as you want. Go crazy! I ended up with about 9 sticks.

Take strands of your ribbon. cut them and tack them together. now fold them over in half. now tack that underneath the ornaments. Wow! really gives it a great effect.

Oskar was busy hahahah The kids kept trying to get away but i kept giving them missions to organize
the ornaments for me. Don't you think they did great!

Place your new ornament in the wreath! Use a glitter pen to go over the globs of glue you used to glue your ornaments together.

Well, what do you think? I think it was inexpensive and looks great on the table!

Hi all Ive been MIA lately, I went into the ER last Monday with Severe Cramps and thought they where going to tell me I had a UTI or a Bladder infection instead i Found out that I have Ovarian Cancer. So I have a Appointment tomarrow at the Cancer center and I will most definally will have to have surgery. I dont know all the details when or if the cancer has spread Hopefully tomarrow I will know more. I also know I cant have surgery until my Cardio Doctor says so Hes got me hooked up to a heart monitor for a week which SUCKS! and also running around after 6 kids im bout to go insane.. Soo Thas where Ill be.

Ok this might sound of Corny and Pitiful But I'm looking for Scrapbook Sisters
what that is, Is women who design scrapbook Items, You know chat and support each other and share ideas and help each other out when they need something. I don't know about some of you but some Sites seem to be stuck to their own little Click and its hard to try to feel at home in some places. But I wanted to get together with other people who do what i do and LOVE It..and doesn't have that support like some sites have. I know Pitiful right? lol.. I do this on my own and it gets kinda lonely and it would be nice to actually meet real nice people who design and etc.

Recent News - Warning. Long Post

Wow! Wednesday Oct 17th DigiScrapDepot was hit by a bolt of lightning. Well okay a bolt of freebies? 107 freebies were added for our visitors' viewing pleasure. With Six new designers signed up in one day. That is just IN-CRED-IBLE.

Keep up the great work everyone, and remember... Tell-A-Friend. We are always looking for new designers. It helps the search engines find all of us!

We have decided to go ahead and look closer at some changes here. We would like to add a store in the future so everyone has a chance to sell their artwork even if they are not on a creative team to be able to afford to have your own store. More information to come on that later as we have not even set a final date yet.

As I have written before, we still want to allow users to download their freebies here instead of on places like RapidShare or 4shared. I have read recently on some designers' blogs that visitors to 4shared are being hit with unwanted adult advertisements. This is not okay. None of us wants to see garbage and our visitors shouldn't have to look at it either! Could you imagine your mother downloading a freebie and seeing all that. That is just unacceptable if you ask me. No one has to put up with that. We are working diligently on getting that part of the website in order for you.

So, you may have noticed I have revamped our Tutorials section. This is because I know visitors are interested in DigiScrapping as well as some of us designers. I think they can be helpful in general. This way everyone can increase their skills and we can see more quality work turned out. The tutorial banner on the homepage took me a couple of hours LOL. I am still so new to photoshop its insane the amount of hours it takes me to turn anything out. I surprise myself I can. LOL and that ain't no lie! hahahahah
If you have any leads to any tutorials you would like to see here just let me know or post it yourself. The more the better I say. Dont worry about the quality of the tutorial as I will check it after you post it. (meaning dont worry your tutorial is not good enough to post here, as i will spellcheck etc. after you post it.)

Speaking on the subject of work, since the beginning of DigiScrapDepot.com, I have and some of you have too... noticed the undeniable change in some of the work in some designers who post here. Wow what a difference a couple of months makes. The change of quality in your work is incredible. I am just so tickled! I really hope that allowing visitors to comment on your freebies gives you ideas on how to better your work, and gives you a positive feeling to just keep coming back here with more terrific work.

Uh has anyone ever looked under the EVENTS TAB? LOL
Thank you to the few people who have started using the calender on a monthly basis. Because thats what it is for! It is a open, public caledar for everyone to advertise their monthly chats etc. Please when adding your information add for the whole year or as long ahead in the future as possible so visitors can plan ahead.

I would love to have an alert on the frontpage that shows crops/challenges happening in realtime in your timezones. Im trying to convince thomas the programmer We Really Need This. If you think this is a good idea take the POLL i will put here. Lets get thomas to do it. Otherwise it will be a good idea that is not on the Need To Do List. hahahahahh.
