I am new to digital scrapbooking and have loved so many FREEBIES on your site.  Needless to say I have been using this free software from a site called scrapbookflair.com.  Once I have the kit downloaded I can't seem to be able to edit(resize or angle rotate embellishments and such).  Therefore I am looking for a software that will support the extension and zip  files that I download from here and will allow me to make my pages they way I want the pictures and embellishments angled.  Does this all make sense?  So let me have it, help to to pick one I am not at all talented like you creative ladies but if I want to angle a flower, (software) let me angle it!!  Also as with everything I want the best for my buck as having 7 children to scrapbook for is expensive enough if I want to send to much sweet dear hubby will not be happy!!  Thanks for any help you can provide!

hm there are plenty of freeware graphic editing programs online for download at downloads.com.  Otherwise, you can use Microsoft Paint which is probably on your computer!

.zip called WinZip and can also be found at downloads.com. Works in the same way as below.

.rar  this is a program found at downloads.com called Winrar its a program that compresses files.  When you download a file from a designer, it is already compressed in that.zip folder.  click the folder, extract the file to the designated area it wants to.. this is ok... then you can open it after it is extracted.

You could download the program I use, for free Photofiltre(not the Studio, then you have to pay) It isn't so extensive as PSP or Photoshop but you can do a lot with it. Or download the program GIMP. That's all free and has also layers.  And Vicky said it, the Paint isn;t bad also. And if you Google a bit, there are more free graphic programs to find. Not all with the possibilities from PSP or Paint, but perhaps for you it will work.

For compression and decompression ZIP like Vicky says Winzip. After the 30 days just don;t sign in, it still keeps working. For the RAR you have of course WinRar, but there is another one, compatible with XP and Vista called IZARC. All free and it supports zip and rar and lots more. Very nice and easy to use.

Hope this helps a bit.

I enjoy to work with PhotoImpact. I bought the older Version PI 11 for 15 Euros, the new one would be about 98 Euros and I'm sure can't do that much more.

Greetings from Vienna
