I thought maybe to get the gallery "some more showing" that we have a "Layout of the week- or month??" and maybe have it displayed for all to see for that specific week??? Can have the dates here in the forum under it' own thread- and then the "link" with the name of the winner under each week for people to find??? It will draw more people to the gallery too???? Any suggestions on this? Or what do you guys feel?

well the freebiecommunity is big, so maybe LO of the day when it's getting crowded in here?

Great idea!

A layout of the week would be good and help to promote the gallery.

However, I see this place as a place to get freebie notifications and to find great freebies and I would not want to focus to be taken off of that goal.

So, to keep the layout of the week a way to promote a freebie would help, not just random layouts.  Not sure how to do that.

Hummie I agree with you about the "focus" being on the freebie part of this site- If credits were mentioned with a link to the "freebie used in any given LO" from THIS SITE ONLY- people could see how those "kits or elements" could be used? It was just an idea to "promote" the freebies availalbe here and to see how they can be used- But then again I don't know if all the LO's have freebie's used in them? So I'm sort of stuck on this one- LOL. Maybe Vikki can give us a "heads up" on the gallery side?

Is there any reason why designers can't add there link to blogs etc  to their layouts in the gallery for their freebies as well as linking in the freebies area.  I agree with KimB perhaps the wording - this layout used a freebie from Designers Name - something like that etc.

Use every tool we can to promote ourselfs. Besides some people need some help and pointers as to how to use a kit and make a good layout.

Just a thought. I know I said in an earlier post relpy how much I've missed this site but I can't help myself. I'm so pleased it's back.

Thank you

Practice makes perfect - I'm still practicing.

Cheers and hugs from Carena

This sounds like a bit of a head scratcher. I would maybe generate traffic to the gallery by asking people to design a layout from one of the freebies on the site and then picking a favorite. This will not only spotlight the person who made the layout, but the designer of the freebie as well, then you could choose from different categories as well. I hope you can come up with something, sounds like you ladies are working hard. Good Luck with this. Susan of Raspberry Road
