| | Thank you so much for sharing your story and for this beautiful site! Your site has made my journey through the digital scrabook freebie hunting so easy! I honestly have to tell you that I visit your site at least once a day. I have so many freebies on my hard drive that I'm not even going to go there. LoL. I need to organize them though. | Loved your story, Vicky! I, too remember the days when we had to use manual typewriters and were feeling extra-special if we got on the one or two electrics! I remember first using computers and spending days making simple, pathetic programs in Basic. (Not to mention having to go to libaries to look things up on microfiche!) Hard to believe how far it's come! Yay for the internet!
My hubby, too, has expertise in computers, which is what permits me the freedom to explore Photoshop and other programs safely. If something goes wrong, I just yell for him to fix it for me! Though now, since he mainly does digital video production, I actually seem to know more Photoshop than he does! LOL! He first got me interested in Photoshop when I was decorating nursery furniture for our first baby. I wanted to do decoupage, but wanted to change some things in the pictures. My addiction was born.
Can't believe I'm designing now - your site gives me so much joy - so nice to share with others who appreciate it! Thank you SO much!
I'm working on my computer a lot this weekend - I'm stuck in the hospital on IV antibiotics for a silly infection with a resistant organism that won't die with any pills made! Oh well, it's my one chance to sleep without children kicking me half the night!
I've donated to keep DigiScrapDepot going, and plan to keep adding more as time goes on. I want to see you get that server you need! All the best to you-

| | thanks for doing this love the story. I am a new freebie giver and grabber! I'm working in CHina at the moment and most freebies are not easily obtained as 4shared is some how blocked. I can D/L others of non 4shared sites.. which means very very few. So, I make my own most of the time and I do enjoy doing it. I like how you allow us freebie givers to put up our freebies here to share. My first time designing I had a hard time sharing my work. THats not because i cant let go of my work but more like most scrapbooking sites do not allow others to promote freebies. SO, I just want to thank you. Liz |
