Can anyone help?  I'd love to design some glittery papers and embellishments but haven't had any luck finding how to create a gliter effect.  Can anyone recommend any overlays, brushes or Photoshop actions that would help.  Or is there another way that I'm missing altogether?  With Christmas looming now, there are lots of kits starting to appear covered in glitter and I'm sooo frustrated at not knowing how to do it.

Thanks,

Susan

I use a program called Artrage for my glitter textures. Check out my freebie wordart to see if that's the effect you're after. You'll have to buy the full program to get that option included, but it's cheap!

I think the website is www.artrage.com ... but just Google "Artrage" to find it. Once you've registered the program you can join in their forums too, where you'll get lots of hints and tips.

I know you can also get glitter brushes for PSP, PS, etc...which you'll probably get free (but check out the TOU as far as commercial use goes)

Hope this helps!

I guess I'm just lazy! I went to my local crafts store and purchased a piece of glittered paper and scanned it in! Then I simply warp it as I need to for embellishments (doing a save as so I preserve my orignal page)

Thanks! I do bows the same way! I tie them out of real ribbon, scan and extract!

I'm with Sooze, Artrage is an excellent program and the full version is only $25usd pretty good value if you ask me. Also I"ve managed to snag some freebie glitter styles for photoshop, just use google and I'm sure you'll find them, I'd post the link but there was no tou with them. They might have been on about.com I know i've gotten a lot of styles from there. Playing around with noise can also produce a glitter effect.

I wrote a while back a tutorial about that, but if you have the artrage program it's even easier.
