I've noticed that some people are posting their layouts and/or freebies to the "Designer Resources" section. It's not a huge problem...but it is a little annoying to find something that seems to be just what I'm looking for....only to find that it's not a designer resource after all! Ermm

Just thought I'd mention it so that anyone who posts kits, layouts, general freebies etc to that particular section is aware of where they're actually posting it.

this is a great point sooze. a designer resource should be for commercial use only. BigGrin

Otherwise, now we need to create a new subject for personal use designer resource AND commercil useage. is that really needed?

Hmmmm...I don't know if we need a separate sections for Personal or Commercial Use, as long as the designer states clearly what you can use the freebie for. Preferably they would do this either on the freebie description or the preview pic, so that it's obvious to anyone looking at the freebie on DSD. Most of the resources I've looked at in that section are pretty clearly marked as to whether you can use them commercially or just for making freebies.

My point was that people are adding their layouts and/or kits to the designer resource section when they are not designer resources! I was just wondering if some people did not know what the term "designer resource" means....especially as we have people from different parts of the world on the site.....not all of whom speak English.

I am very upset by this misunderstanding of designer resources so much that I offer my time to go through them and report the personal use only ones. Let's get them out of there...they get traffic under false pretenses and that is totally not right. I look for designer resources to share with my readers and I check them all out anyway. I actually send my readers to their blogs to get the CU Freebie for themselves.

I also don't mind reporting stuff where the blog is gone etc. If you'd like me to do this and send for your review just say the word I will start reporting daily. I have the time.
